Government Fleet Electrification

In line with Delhi's aim to become the EV Capital of the Country, the Delhi Government has mandated all its Departments, Autonomous Bodies, and Grantee Institution to shift their existing hired petrol/diesel/CNG vehicles to Electric Vehicles (EVs).

Deregistering of old vehicles

According to the Hon’ble National Green Tribunal’s order, the Transport Department, GNCTD has deregistered all 10 years and older Diesel vehicles. With this initiative, the Department is venturing into formalising the EV retrofit kit manufacturing.

L5N, N1 exempt from plying and parking

With the aim of making EVs free from any regulation, the Department ordered that all the L5N and N1 category of electric goods carriers vehicles are completely exempted from the prohibition of plying and idle parking on identified roads of the NCT of Delhi.
